"Close to a beautiful 'Blue Flag' sandy beach…"
The beautiful sandy beach of Mil Palmeras,and numerous coves and small beaches along the coast towards Torre de la Horadada lie nearby. There are numerous restaurants nearby and all through the summer months, a lively evening market.
Eating out in Spain is a joy ….. relaxing, and compared to the UK, inexpensive. There are several simple restaurants to be found near Mil Palmeras beach, with a much wider choice along the N332 towards Torrevieja and in the small towns and villages nearby.
Although quiet and relaxing, Rio Mar and the area is suitable for family holidays, and many
of our guests remark that they feel that their children are 
safe in the pool areas and on
Mil Palmeras’ Blue Flag beach. Further afield you can find children’s activities in and around
the Mar Menor and there is a water park in Torrevieja, some 10 miles away. Some of our
clients with children will make a day trip to Benidorm and the Terra Mitica …. the rest just
stay at Rio Mar …. and relax.
For the more active the excellent golf courses of Villa Martin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas are a few minutes away and La Manga, with three 18 hole championship courses and
numerous other activities is approximately 40 kilometres south of Rio Mar.
In addition to golf the following are all available locally: sailing, water skiing,
windsurfing, cycling, tennis, walking, horse riding, go-karting, aqua park,
trekking, swimming and sea fishing.
